JUST finished this book, and my heart is beating a mile a minute! I need to catch a breath! This ending shocked me to the core! This is truly the darkest, and most twisted erotica I have ever read! I was compelled from start to finish!Obviously, this isn't a book for everyone and I understand that, but in all honesty, this is as real as it gets. When you meet Vivienne Charles, she is different from most new adult/erotica protagonist. Most of them are shy, innocent virgins, and she was most definitely not. I enjoyed getting to know her as time went on. Her interestes, family life, and the friendships she had. Jonah Marks, boy did he make me swoon everytime. It's so hard to explain his character without giving anything away. But he was very cold and reserved at first. Of course he was gorgeous with a perfect body, but l loved seeing him break out of his shell a little bit. Yes, he sure did when things started to get steamy. Nonetheless, he was suprisingly warm-hearted and you felt how much he cared for Vivieene on a deeper level. Together, I just adored them. In and out of the bedroom. (Don't want to give too much away.) ;) These types of sexual fantasies are out there, and as long as its consensual, no one can judge them. I myself may not have fully understood it in the beginning, but as time went on, you learn so much more about their desires and who they are as people. Putting the sexual fantasies aside, you have two characters who are dealing with a great deal of pain. As readers, we're still growing and learning with these characters, and how they overcome the trauma in their lives. I believe as the story progresses into book two, we will get more insite on them and how they will grow together. Also, this author is brave! Her writing is courageous and daring, she never once held back. I'll admit, there was some shocking and intense scenes that had my jaw open the entire time. One scene in particular, I needed a five minute break when I was done. No words. Overall, I am officially hooked to this story. Trying to stay patient until book two, even though the synopsis alone means it's going to be an even darker and suspenseful ride! I couldn't recommend this book enough to readers who can appreciate this kind of story!
