Review: Red Queen… Where do I start? As I sit here after closing the book just this second, with a shocked, enthralled, amazed brooding look on my face I think its safe to say that this book has royally floored me. 

Lets talk about the plot; War, good and evil, Royals, Silver blood, Red blood, a bad ass heroine split between two worlds, who has to choose between her heart and her mind. The whole concept is so original I haven't come across anything like it and it was so refreshing for someone who’s just in the “ Every book sounds the same” mode. 

Each page, each paragraph, each line and each word had you feeling every emotion mentioned in the English dictionary. I literally felt like I was watching a hard-hitting epic movie masterpiece. The scenes flowed perfectly and everything made sense. 

Mare Barrow Is a character I want to be best friends with. She was so charismatic; she had a personality that only the average 17-year-old girl wished they possessed. Her selflessness, her passion, her bravery, her doesn’t take no Sh*t mentality, was one of the best things about this novel. 

The admiration I have for this novel for the pure fact there wasn’t a “I fall in love with you at first sight” moment is immense. The romance was subtle in this book and didn’t take away from the story at hand. The two shockingly intense princes in this novel Cal and Maven set the bar high for leading YA men, enticing, addictive and glorious to read about. 

If you’re having hangovers over the Divergent series, or having withdrawal symptoms from the Hunger Games then this is the book that will get you out of that funk. Just watch out for those “Silvers” they’ll have your red blood!
