Rainbow Rowell announces Fangirl spin-off: Carry On

Rainbow Rowell has announced that she will be releasing a spin-off to her Best Selling Novel Fangirl, titled Carry On. For all of you who wanted to read more of Simon and Bas after you had finished Fangirl, well, your wish has just come true.

For Rainbow Rowell fans, October 2015 can't come quick enough, and the anticipation for her new spin-off novel, Carry On, has excited her readers everywhere, with them all wanting to get their hands on their very own copy of Cath's beloved fan-fiction.

Rowell's announcement came in the form of tweets, where she first teased her fans, before giving the news:

AND more news coming soon? All you fangirls better keep your eyes on Rainbow's page to see what else she has in store. For now though, enjoy the synopsis for Carry On:

Simon Snow just wants to relax and savor his last year at the Watford School of Magicks, but no one will let him. His girlfriend broke up with him, his best friend is a pest, and his mentor keeps trying to hide him away in the mountains where maybe he’ll be safe. Simon can’t even enjoy the fact that his roommate and longtime nemesis is missing, because he can’t stop worrying about the evil git. Plus there are ghosts. And vampires. And actual evil things trying to shut Simon down. When you’re the most powerful magician the world has ever known, you never get to relax and savor anything. Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story — but far, far more monsters.

Another stellar book from Rowell. The characters are wonderful, the story was so much fun. I was a little worried it would be a bit too cliche or on the nose, but she took the basic story and turned it into something amazing. I couldn't put it down, and I'll be re-reading it again soon.
