Book Review: From What I Remember By Stacey Kramer & Valerie Thomas

Name: From What I Remember
Authors: Stacey Kramer & Valerie Thomas
Publisher: Electric Monkey
UK release date: OUT NOW

Summary: KYLIE: Mexico? What a nightmare! I should be putting the finishing touches on my valedictorian speech. Graduation is TODAY! Wait! Is this a wedding band on my finger
MAX: It started with Kylie's laptop and a truck full of stolen electronics and it ended in Ensenada. It was hot, the way she broke us out like some chick in an action movie. But now we're stranded here, with less than twenty-four hours before graduation.
WILL: Saving Kylie Flores from herself is kind of a full-time occupation. Luckily, I, Will Bixby, was born for the job. And when I found out she was stuck in Mexico with dreamy Max Langston, sure, I agreed to bring their passports across the border - but there's no reason to rush back home right away. This party is just getting started.
LILY: This cannot be happening. It's like some cruel joke. Or a bad dream. I close my eyes and when I reopen them, they're still there. Max and Kylie Flores, freak of the century. In bed together. If Kylie thinks I'm giving him up without a fight, she's dead wrong.

Review: When I got this book I read the first couple of pages and my reaction was "WHAT THE...." to be sucked in on the first couple of pages like that was amazing. Let me tell you why "From What I Remember" is a fantastic coming of age novel about finding who you are, finding your soul mate and having one heck of an adventure in Mexico.

The authors are either huge movie buffs or they have done huge movie research! The amount of movie relation and quotes is fantastic. I loved the fact that it was honestly like watching a movie! I could close my eyes and feel the heat of the Mexican sun on my face that's how detailed this book was.

I loved the plot. Geeky girl has to do a project with the popular guy, they meet up in Starbucks while she gets her bag Stolen. They chase after the person only to find themselves in a roller coaster of a ride through Mexico falling in love. Sounds crazy huh? But it works!!!

I'm loving the contemporary romances at the moment and I'm telling you this is one book that's at the top of the list. I loved how it switched between characters... It's always nice to find out what all the characters are thinking especially in this fast paced novel.

I loved the characters kylie is a very broad character for me! Her personality shined through and you could really grow with her as a character through out the novel. Max was a pain in the ass but I loved him! His good looks, cocky, kind ways were something I was addicted to while reading this book.

So if you want to be swept up on a road trip through Mexico for the day eating tacos and wearing beautiful dresses while you fall in love with a boy while sharing a hammock? Then this is the wondrous book for you! Loved it!!!!
