Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described as anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away, and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.
The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch, or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?
MAY CONTAIN SPIOLERS!
Where do I start? I have been waiting so long for this novel and I was worried it wouldn't be as good as Hush Hush but how wrong I was. After buying this book at 8am this morning and now it being 8pm here in London after just finishing it I feel like I have been on a huge emotional Roller-coaster!
From the beginning of the book it had me hooked. From Nora and Patches fantastic relationship to the twist and turns of Nora's Dads mysterious death!
The relationship between Nora and Patch again is so Love/Hate. One minute she hates him then one minute she cant get enough. Every scene they had together I was shouting at the book for Patch to just grab Nora and make it all OK so much sexual tension it was unreal.
Vee Is more mature in this book. She still has her funny moments and her Noras relationship is just as strong as ever. We didn't get to see much of Marcie in Hush Hush but now she a prominent character in Crescendo. You also find out more about her and the reasons she treats Nora the way she does (ITS A SHOCKER)
My favourite scene in Crescendo is when Vee, Nora and Marcie have a huge bust up..I couldn't help but laugh at them all fighting from Vee slapping Marcie in the face to Marcie punching Nora in the eye, I could see this in actually happening in a movie. Everyone just looking on and laughing at the girls poor attempt to fight.
The plot is fantastic! through out the book you wonder did Patch actually kill Nora's father? Are the Archangels against Patch and Nora being together? Is Patch going to be sent to hell if he says one word about how much he loves Nora? Is Marcie and Scott going to get in the way of Nora and Patches relationship? There was SO much going on in this book it was UNREAL!!
Becca introduces another character in Crescendo his name is Scott. He's Nora's friend from when they were little but he moved away with his mother. Now they are both back and he's hiding something from Nora and she is on a mission to find out. Scott and Nora's relationship at first is very hostile but then they both start to actually really like each other and you start to think is he a threat to Patch and Nora's relationship? This had me wondering through out the book and wanting to carry on reading.
It is amazingly written. I thought the idea of Patch being in Noras dreams telling her the truth instead of being awake and letting the Archangels hear was really cool, and the twists and turns in the plot kept me guessing on what was going to happen in the end. I did not see any of it coming it was SO unpredictable and had me crying every third chapter, which always makes a good book even better.
I want to say that Becca Fitzpatrick is a FANTASTIC writer and I truly hope Tempest (third book In series) comes soon! and I cannot wait to meet her at ET4 and thank her for bringing Patch in Nora into the world. :) Buy the book you will NOT be disappointed!

Looks like this Crescendo is definitely worth reading! This is truly a great reviewon a perfect book. Fitzpatrick is a great author by all means.
dark readers sounds an interesting book. this is such a great literature book review that excites everyone to reader more chapters in this book.
Bear in mind when you write a movie review, give your opinion about the originality and quality of the film. Elucidate what makes the movie standout or whether it just applies the approach employed in other works of the industry.
I really liked this review of this book. I will definitely read it after finding the opportunity to buy literature review. After all, I enjoy reading more than writing scientific papers.
